I’m lucky enough to be able to attend a variety of social events in conjunction with my business and I tend to favour women-centric occasions.

First off, I’d like to say to event organisers, I salute you.  I realise that the 101 things you have to sort out and plan before, during and after the event is huge.  But with that said, I do have a tiny request – how ’bout popping a 6-pack in the shopping cart when you pick up the wine, bubbles and OJ?  Here’s my top three reasons why:

• Almost 30% of women choose beer as their favourite drink
• Beer contains less alcohol (usually) than wine or bubbles so you’re being a responsible host
• Beer comes in its own glass which means less dishes at the end of the night – bonus!
